Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Learn Mountain LLC("Vector Mountain," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Vector Mountain website, mobile applications, web application, accounts, learning features, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

Who may create an account

A person must be at least 13 years old to create a Vector Mountain account. A parent or guardian account holder may create and manage learner profiles for students. We record an age confirmation for a self-student account, but we do not ask for a date of birth.

Information we collect

Account and profile information

• Account-holder name, email address, account type, authentication identifier, signup platform, and account status.
• Learner names, internal learner identifiers, course access, and profile settings created by the account holder.

Learning and feature activity

• Course progress, lesson activity, question attempts and answers, assessments, study sessions, hints, and generated feedback.
• Typed or drawn work, photos of work that you choose to upload, and related submission metadata.
• Questions, conversation context, audio, and transcripts when you choose to use Ask Vector, speech, feedback, or other AI-assisted features.

Purchases and subscriptions

We maintain membership status and identifiers needed to validate and manage subscriptions. Stripe, Apple, or Google processes the payment itself, depending on where you purchase. We do not receive or store complete payment-card numbers.

Analytics, device, and support information

We use Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Meta Pixel, and Meta Conversions API to understand use of the Services, attribute advertising campaigns, and measure actions such as page views, account creation, and checkout activity. This may include app or browser type, device and operating-system information, approximate location inferred from an IP address, referral and campaign information, advertising click identifiers, browser identifiers or cookies, and diagnostic events. Our custom analytics event parameters do not include learner names, raw email addresses, lesson answers, or uploaded work.

If you contact support or submit tester feedback, we collect the information you provide and relevant technical context needed to investigate the request.

How we use information

• Provide, personalize, and maintain the Services.
• Authenticate accounts and keep learner information separated and access-controlled.
• Save progress, evaluate work, generate tutoring feedback, and provide speech or transcription features.
• Process subscriptions, prevent duplicate purchases, and provide paid access.
• Analyze product performance, attribute campaigns, troubleshoot failures, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
• Communicate about accounts, service changes, support, security, and transactions.
• Comply with law and enforce our agreements.

AI-assisted features

Some learning features send the information needed for a request— such as a question, answer, image, or voice input—to service providers that help us generate feedback, evaluate work, transcribe audio, or synthesize speech. Providers may include Cloudflare, OpenRouter and its routed model providers, and Inworld. We limit requests to information relevant to the feature and configure provider data-collection restrictions where available.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information to:

• Infrastructure and security providers, including Cloudflare and Google Firebase, which support authentication, hosting, storage, networking, and security.
• Analytics and campaign-measurement providers, including Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, and Meta.
• AI and speech providers used to complete an AI-assisted request.
• Payment platforms, including Stripe, Apple, and Google, which process and validate purchases.
• Professional advisers, authorities, or other parties when required by law, necessary to protect rights and safety, or part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some jurisdictions may define analytics or advertising-related disclosures more broadly than a monetary sale.

Storage, security, and retention

Account and learning data is stored in access-controlled systems. Learner work images are kept in private storage and are not published through a public storage URL. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.

We generally retain account and learning information while the account is active and as needed to provide the Services. We may retain limited transaction, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or legal records after deletion when reasonably necessary. Retention by payment platforms and other providers is governed by their own legal obligations and policies.

Your choices and deletion rights

Account holders can review or update certain account and learner information in the app. The app also provides an account-management flow for requesting account deletion. A completed account deletion removes the account profile, learner state, and stored learner work from our active systems, subject to the limited retention described above.

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or an explanation of how we process personal information. Contact us to exercise an applicable right. We may need to verify the request and the requester's authority over the account or learner profile.

Children and learner profiles

People under 13 may not create their own Vector Mountain account. When a parent or guardian creates a learner profile, that adult is responsible for having authority to provide the learner information and for supervising use of the Services. If you believe a child created an account without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can investigate and delete the information when required.

Third-party services and links

The Services may open provider-hosted pages, app stores, or other third-party services. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will post the updated policy here and revise the effective date. We may provide additional notice when a change is material.
